SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – The 4th Annual Big Health Event has expanded, providing free health and wellness services to northwest Louisiana.
With the success of previous years’ events in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, the Urban League of Louisiana is now bringing the Big Health Event to Shreveport for the first time on Saturday, Aug. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year’s event will feature health screenings, expert health and wellness panels, healthy cooking demonstrations, a fitness and movement zone, a kids’ zone with various activities, a career café, entrepreneurship and innovation workshops, free school supplies, and more.
